Faqs

Q1: Can anyone come to the Sensory Gym or is it exclusively for individuals with special needs or sensory processing disorders?

A1: A Sensory Gym is open to all children, regardless of their abilities. Our sign also mentions that it caters to kids of all abilities. We believe that every child is unique, and we welcome children of all skill levels to come and enjoy the gym.

Q2: Who will supervise my children at the Sensory Gym?

A2: It is important for parents or guardians to closely supervise their own children and any children they bring to the gym. We encourage family interaction and participation. Please be respectful of other families using the gym.

Q3: Does my child have to be walking in order to visit the gym?

A3: No, we understand that children develop at different paces and have different needs. We strive to accommodate children at various stages of development, so walking is not a requirement.

Q4: What are the age groups catered to at the Sensory Gym?

A4: We welcome children from crawling age up to 13 years old. Additionally, we have a special age range for our friends with special needs, from ages 14 to 18. If you have a special needs individual over 18, please contact us to discuss the best times to bring them to the gym.

Q5: Can I bring multiple kids to the Sensory Gym?

A5: Yes, you can bring multiple kids to the gym. We recommend maintaining a ratio of at least 1 adult to 3 children, depending on the children's needs. It's essential to supervise all children and ensure respect for other families using the gym.

Q6: Can my respite care worker bring my child to the gym?

A6: Yes, your respite care worker can bring your child to the gym. However, we require a liability waiver signed by the parent or guardian before the visit. The respite worker must supervise the child at all times.

Q7: Does it get crowded at the Sensory Gym?

A7: The number of children playing at any given time can vary, making it difficult to predict how crowded the gym may become. If you have concerns about crowds, we recommend calling ahead before your visit. Some periods may be busier than others.

Q8: Do I have to be a member to come to the Sensory Gym?

A8: No, membership is not mandatory. You can visit the gym as often as you like without being a member and pay per visit. However, if you plan to visit regularly, we do offer memberships as an option.

Q9: What should I bring with me and my family to the gym?

A9: When visiting the gym, please remember to bring clean socks for everyone, including adults. If you forget to bring socks, we have socks available for purchase at the gym.

Q10: Is outside food and drink allowed at the Sensory Gym?

A10: No, we do not allow food or drink inside the facility, except for infants. The only exception is during birthday parties when food is restricted to the party room. This policy ensures the safety of all families, as we cannot accommodate all allergies.

Q11: Do you offer drop-off hours at the Sensory Gym?

A11: No, we do not offer drop-off hours at the moment. Children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or caregiver during their time at the gym.

Q12: What are the benefits of purchasing a membership for the Sensory Gym?

A12: Purchasing a membership is a great option for families planning to visit the gym frequently. Instead of paying per visit, a membership allows unlimited visits within a certain period. It provides convenience and potential cost savings for families who make regular use.
